Job Title: Part-time EHS Consultant

Position Overview:
EFC is seeking experienced and self-driven part-time EHS consultants to support our international operations across multiple regions, including Japan, Jordan, New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, Pakistan, Brazil, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, Morocco, France, UAE, Russia, the United States, and other assigned locations.
As a Part-time Overseas EHS Consultant, you will provide expert guidance on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting best practices, and helping clients advance their safety and sustainability performance. The role involves both remote and on-site engagement and offers flexibility in working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
● Act as a liaison between EFC and local partners or clients, representing EFC in all professional capacities.
● Maintain regular and in-depth communication with local EHS departments to understand operational needs and compliance activities.
● Deliver a range of EHS services, including:
Regulatory compliance identification
EHS audits and inspections
Technical Q&A support
Regulatory training and awareness programs
● Provide services both online and on-site, depending on client requirements and project scope.
● Ensure accurate interpretation and application of local EHS laws and international standards.
Requirements:
● In-depth knowledge of local EHS laws and regulations, with proven ability to apply them in diverse industrial settings.
● Strong understanding of industry-specific compliance requirements and their practical implementation.
● Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS work experience, preferably in consulting, industrial, or regulatory environments.
● Recognized local EHS certification or qualification is required.
● Based in or currently working within the assigned region.
● Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects independently.
● Willingness to attend meetings or conduct on-site visits during weekdays, as needed.
● Flexible availability to accommodate part-time assignments and varying client schedules.

Job Title: Senior EHS Compliance Consultant
Location: China
Position Overview:
EFC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior EHS Compliance Consultant to lead the design and execution of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance strategies for clients across various industrial sectors. Based in China, you will play a key role in delivering regulatory compliance solutions, advising on risk mitigation, and supporting sustainable EHS program implementation. The role also involves contributing to business development and client engagement efforts in support of the firm’s growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement comprehensive EHS compliance solutions addressing regulatory requirements in health, safety, environmental protection, energy management, and labor standards.
● Support clients in the execution, improvement, and long-term sustainability of EHS compliance management systems and programs.
● Design and deliver training programs focused on regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
● Provide expert consulting services in EHS risk identification, regulatory interpretation, strategy development, and corrective action planning.
● Drive business growth by cultivating new clients, maintaining existing partnerships, and strengthening the company’s market presence through strategic outreach and engagement.

Qualifications & Experience
● Professional Certification: Possess at least one of the following or equivalent credentials:
Certified Safety Engineer
Certified Fire Engineer
Environmental Impact Assessment Engineer
Judicial Qualification Certificate
● Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, Energy Management, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or other STEM-related disciplines.
● Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical experience in industrial EHS management, preferably within manufacturing or high-risk operational environments.
● Key Competencies:
Strong cross-functional coordination and project management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing roles
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-performance environment
● Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Chinese is required. Additional language skills are advantageous.
● Preferred Experience: Previous involvement in factory compliance audits, regulatory inspections, or technical EHS consulting will be considered a strong asset.

Job Title: Senior Environmental Compliance Consultant
Location: Japan
Position Overview:
EFC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Compliance Consultant to lead environmental risk assessments and compliance programs for complex energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects across Japan. This role involves providing expert technical guidance, conducting environmental and social (E&S) due diligence, and ensuring regulatory compliance in alignment with Japanese and international project financing standards. You will work closely with private developers, government agencies, and financial institutions, particularly those involved in project financing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting and compliance, a proactive business development mindset, and leadership potential. This position offers a clear path to a senior leadership role, including team management and strategic growth responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Business Development
● Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.
● Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and shape winning bid strategies.
● Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
● Represent EFC at conferences, industry forums, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and brand recognition.
Environmental Consulting & Technical Execution
● Lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), E&S due diligence reviews, environmental audits, and compliance evaluations for project financing and permitting.
● Identify and assess environmental and social risks, and develop actionable mitigation and management strategies.
● Ensure integration of environmental considerations into project planning, execution, and financing processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
● Interpret and apply relevant Japanese environmental laws and international standards such as IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, ADB and EBRD guidelines.
● Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports for clients, investors, lenders, and regulatory authorities.
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination
● Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and social consultants.
● Contribute to recruitment, mentoring, and capability development of a growing consultancy team.
● Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure efficient execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
● Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, including leadership of EIA, E&S due diligence, and compliance assessments.
● Proven ability to manage projects and build client relationships, with a demonstrated track record in both technical delivery and business development.
● Experience in financial sector-related compliance or working with multilateral development banks and export credit agencies is preferred.
● Strong understanding of Japan’s regulatory environment, with familiarity in applying international standards in the local context.
● Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
● Native-level Japanese language proficiency and strong fluency in English are required.
