The Beginning: A Vision Takes Root (2011)

EFC was founded in 2011 in Shanghai during China’s period of rapid industrialization and urban development. The company emerged to address environmental and social challenges brought about by accelerated economic growth. Inspired by the urgent need for sustainability solutions, EFC’s mission is to empower organizations and communities by integrating Eastern philosophical wisdom with Western innovation. From the outset, EFC has been dedicated to delivering adaptive, innovative, and proactive solutions that balance cultural traditions, economic development, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.

Laying the Groundwork: A Commitment to Excellence (2015–2016)

By 2015, EFC achieved ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification, a testament to our steadfast commitment to quality and operational excellence. The following year, EFC diversified its offerings with the launch of Ergotechs, a division specializing in ergonomics and human factors. This strategic initiative reflected our commitment to advancing sustainability through multidisciplinary expertise.

Growth and Recognition: Expanding Horizons (2017–2023)

EFC entered a phase of rapid expansion between 2017 and 2023, opening new offices in Tianjin, Lanzhou, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Inner Mongolia, Hog Kong, and Taiwan, thereby solidifying our presence across China. This growth was accompanied by significant achievements, including the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System Certification, a testament to EFC’s commitment to workplace safety and health excellence. In 2019, EFC earned the prestigious title of Shanghai High-tech Enterprise, further cementing our reputation as a leader in technological and sustainability innovation.

In 2020, EFC reached another key milestone with the launch of Galaxy Academy, a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to improving sustainability awareness and practices through online and offline learning. Galaxy Academy has since grown to include over 500 online learning modules, and hundred of in-person classes annually, equipping individuals and organizations with the knowledge and skills needed to adopt and implement sustainable practices effectively. The same year, the introduction of the iTrack EHS Management Platform marked a pivotal moment, showcasing EFC’s capability to seamlessly integrate digital technology with sustainable practices.

Global Expansion and Prestige (2024 - Ongoing)

The year 2024 heralded a new era for EFC with the establishment of its Global Headquarters in Singapore, strategically positioning the company to serve a global clientele. This strategic expansion was accompanied by an expanded network of partners across Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

EFC continue to enhance its credibility and commitment to excellence by attaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 27001 Privacy Information Management System Certifications. These achievements reaffirmed EFC’s leadership in environmental stewardship and data protection, solidifying our position as a trusted global partner in sustainability excellence.

From our early origins in Shanghai, EFC has grown into a global sustainability solutions leader through commitment to excellence, innovation, and strategic partnership.
